DrillmaxPro® 10K Drill Pipe Float Valves
Introducing DrillmaxPro®, our new line of Premium Float Valves designed to withstand 10,000 PSI
DrillmaxPro® line of drill pipe float valves include 5 sizes each of Model F, Model G, and Model GC, that are rated to 10,000 PSI maximum differential pressure.
These valves are suitable for temperatures up to 400 deg. F sustained, and H2S sour gas applications.
Drill pipe float valves can be installed in one or several tool joint locations in the drill string, and are designed to stop back flow of drilling mud or other media, protecting the bit and other tools from damage by well bore cuttings.
Drill pipe float valves also promote rig safety by assisting in well pressure control.
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
DrillmaxPro® DP float valves have been designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with accepted engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance standards including, but not limited to, the following documents or publications:
-
American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI)
- American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
- American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
- American Society for Metals (ASM)
- American Welding Society (AWS)
- Rubber Manufacturer’s Association (RMA)
- Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)

DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE RATING
All DrillmaxPro® 10K float valves are rated to 10000 PSI differential pressure. They are available in 2F3R, 3.5 IF, 4R, 5R and 5F6R sizes, and dimensionally the same as the 7500 PSI valves.
CAGES AND INTERNAL METAL PARTS
Cages are cast as one piece and are compliant with N.A.C.E. standard MR0175 regarding resistance to hydrogen sulfide stress cracking in H2S sour gas applications. Flappers, pistons (valves), valve guides, and valve seal disks are also MR0175 compliant.

PROTECTIVE COATING
Drillmax® applies a Xylan® fluoropolymer coating to cages and other metal parts, which reduces corrosion and erosion, while also reducing friction. This coating is suitable for high temperature and corrosive environments.
SPRINGS
All DrillmaxPro® 10K float valves have premium Inconel X750 springs resistant to H2S sour gas corrosion.
SEALS, SHOCK ABSORBERS, AND FLAPPER PINS
Viton rubber is supplied with all DrillmaxPro® 10K float valves and is suitable for H2S and up to 400 deg. F service.
